Proof Marking
Originally outlined in the 1868 principal UK Proof Act, all firearms in use must have identifiable proof marks on the major pressure bearing parts to remain legal and safe.
Gun Stock Adjustment
The foundation to effortless and consistent shooting is how well the gun fits to your body. Each person is unique in this sense, and likewise, so should your gun stock.
Re-Blacking
Nothing beats that new gun look, re-blacking the barrels or furniture on a worn gun gives it that immediate transformation everyone will notice.

My Story
JH Gunsmithing was set up to offer a traditional list of gunsmithing service’s to shotgun and rifle owners around the West midlands area.
Although my main job is currently designing and producing high precision rifling solutions for target and military applications, the desire to continue my traditional gunsmithing/making skills has remained constant.
I was forever being asked “who” or “can I” carry out work on shotguns and rifles while out clay or rifle shooting. It was this demand that led me to build up, over the years, my current workshop and gain the tools required to stock it.
